What about opponents of the merger?

A concern has been raised that last-minute opponents may be influencing the outcome of the vote. We live in a democracy, so it is possible not to be in favour of this merger. That said, it would be a pity to reject the project because of unfounded concerns. “We can understand the people who are against it," says Alain Bovay, the syndic of St Légier-La Chiesaz, “They have the right to disagree, but we would like to hear them and engage in a constructive discussion with them. Our objective is that everyone should vote for what they want, but that they know why they are voting”.

To this point, the space on the subsequent pages devoted to the proposed merger of issues 50 and 51 of COMM'une info will be open to arguments from committees for or against the merger project, as long as they come from constituted groups.

What bad faith! We have written, we have given our arguments, we have asked questions - which have remained unanswered. When we ask why we should merge, we are told "Why not" !...

NON à la fusion

On reading the Trait d’Union n° 3 from December 2019, requested by the COMM'une info, the following was written:

“In the meantime, the dialogue is open so feel free to share your questions and comments with us. Our pages are also open to those who are opposed to this project. So, speak up!”

We've spoken out, and in response (?!) we've received nothing but the latest COMM'une info from February 2020. Under Trait d’Union  n° 4, it says:

"What about the opponents of the merger?"

The conclusion states: "In this regard, the space on the next few pages devoted to the proposed merger of issues 50 and 51 of COMM'une info will be open to arguments from committees for or against the proposed merger, as long as they come from established groups."

Double standards? Change of rules? That doesn't mean the same thing at all! In future citizens' debates, are you going to muzzle the population? Ask them to send in their questions? Are the dice already loaded? Will you continue to make "changes of strategy" throughout the next three months? At the very least, we are asking for fair play please!

NON à la fusion

NON à la fusion

You see, Croflette?! In CommUne Info n° 49 they published 2 reports but only from people who are in favour of the merger and one of whom, with all due respect, doesn't even vote in either of the two communes. They have to look much further away to find those in favour!
